Private Taveerne Tafereel
At the Tavern Scene, you will be welcomed upon arrival by the Town Crier or the Gatekeeper of Delft. The attendants will offer you a medieval aperitif. In the atmospheric, candlelit space, you will suddenly feel transported back four centuries in time.
A troubadour will perform songs from the past and present. While a lavish meal is served and your drinking cup is continually refilled, other medieval figures will make their appearance. You run the risk of encountering a fortune teller, a witch, or a monk.
The Private Tavern Scene is a fully catered evening of food, drinks, and entertainment and can be organized for groups of 25 to approximately 75 people on any day of your choosing.
The cost of the 3.5-hour Private Tavern Scene depends on the size of your group and is:
€92 per person for 30 people
€84 per person for 60 people
If your group size differs from the above, we charge €71.50 for food and drinks for each additional guest and additional entertainment for each missing guest.
At the private tavern scene the tables are set with fruit and many nuts.
Successively, we will serve you the following dishes:
- Traditional Medieval Bread with Herbal sauce.
- Chicken Pasty
- Witches soup
- A variety of Meat: Chicken-Wings, Leg of Rabbit, Pork-Chop and Spicy Sausages,
served with Medieval Potatoes, Fresh Salad and Traditional Medieval Bread - Syllabub
- Coffee or Tea with a sweet cinnamon Stick
The Beverage arrangement consists of an Aperitif; the spicy Herbal wine Hypocras or the sweet Honey wine Mede, and until the Coffee unlimited Beer on Draught, Wines, Juices and Soft drinks.
Also included is a calligraphed menu and entertainment during the evening. The exact content of the entertainment depends on the availability of the artists. In addition to a troubadour, at least two characters will be portrayed, such as a witch, a fortune teller, a gatekeeper, or a jester.
