After the Beeldenstorm (iconoclasm) in 1567, it took some time for all the damage to be repaired. In 1570, the large bell could finally be hoisted back into the tower of the Nieuwe Kerk. This bell had been cast by the famous bell-founder Hendrik van Trier.
That evening, a banquet will be held to celebrate the new bell, to which you and your guests, as notables of the city of Delft, are invited. As the banquet begins, it turns out that the bell-founder has been found dead. The bailiff of Delft is eager to track down the perpetrator of this cowardly act and enlists your help.
Between courses of a lavish Burgundian Meal, you’ll need to summon all your creative juices, in collaboration with the other guests. During the meal, you can also enjoy the cheerful sounds and clear voice of a troubadour.
A Private Murder Meal can be organized for any date for groups of 30 to approximately 60 people.
The cost for a 3.5-hour Private Murder Meal depends on the size of your group and is €89 per person for 30 people. If your group size differs from the above, we charge €61 for food and drinks for each additional guest, and €28 for additional entertainment for each missing guest.
At the Private Murder Meal the tables are laid with fruit and many nuts.
Successively, we will serve you the following dishes:
- Traditional Medieval Bread with Herbal sauce
- Chicken Pasty
- Witches soup
- A variety of Meat: Capon-Wings, Leg of Rabbit, Pork-Chop and Meat-Stew
served with Medieval Potatoes, Fresh Salad and Traditional Medieval Bread - Flippancy
- Coffee or Tea with a sweet cinnamon Stick
The Beverage arrangement consists of an Aperitif;
the spicy Herbal wine, Hypocras, or the sweet Honey wine, Mede,
and until the Coffee unlimited Beer on Draught, Wines, Juices and Soft drinks.
